Oh no!

Great. Now I'm in dilemma.

Should I bring my piano over to singapore? Or should I leave it in the house?

First of all, it is an electronic piano, not an upright or grand piano, so there is no value of just displaying it at home. Secondly, I'm the only one who is playing it in the family, so leaving it at home will be like, SEVEN YEARS of immobility. Thirdly, by taking it away form the house, it will be too painful for my parents because of it's sentimental value (eventhough it is been there for only two years). An empty space at the most strategic spot of the house is really, like, *wtf* *kns* *dulan* feeling.

What should I do to my piano???

Great. This is so gonna be a depressing decision in either way.

Admission and Educationist

My teaching period is short. Apparently the teacher whom I replaced is coming back from the hospital. Supposely she said that she will be in hospital for two weeks, but she is already getting ready to come back teaching. Maybe she scared that I become permanent. Man, I'm so thick skinned.

But that's what my mom (headmistress of the school) told me. She received feedback from the students that want me to continue teaching them for the next two years. *proud* They totally understand what I'm teaching. *boasting* They loved the name Mr. Siow too. *laughing out loud with arms akimbo*

Thats one syok sendiri moment.

AND I GOT ADMISSION INTO NTU~!!!

AND I GOT FIRST CHOICE: ELECTRONIC & ELECTRIC ENGINEERING~!!!

Man, this is one big gift from the skies. First of all, I have no backup plan. I never applied for any other universities like UTAR or what. I was really hoping a LOT in NTU. I actually lied to my parents that I applied other universities "just in case". *Relief* Secondly, I have no interest in the other choices that I picked like E&E Eng with Econs, Maths and Econs, Applied Physics, and Mathematics. It's just the best day of my life!!!

Now I want to go a step further: GET A SCHOLARSHIP.

*greedy dog speaking here*

Life as Teacher Siow (Siow Lao Shi)

Yikes. I'm a teacher in SMJK Confucian. Teaching Chemistry and Modern Maths in Form 4.

One word. TOUGH!!!

It's the feeling of expecting responses from students but none came. It's exactly like the Potong Stim feeling. So enthusiastic while teaching to the point where you stop to ask, "So far so good?", suddenly the room is quiet. It feels cold without the air cond.

At least I received great feedback from teachers (which got the feedback from students). I'm not sure though whether the students were honest or just being polite.

It's also tough to teach while wearing uncomfortable clothes. One moment you are describing the concept of mole, the next moment you want to rip your clothes off. *gasp*

And teachers must really really REALLY plan AHEAD of the lessons. Like two weeks AHEAD. Or else you feel like a dickHEAD during next lessons.

At least it is satisfying to reach out to students. Most of the students are hyperactive and friendly. But at times I got worried when they became silent mode (or vibration mode) while I was teaching. Great, are they concentrating or are they being concentrated? >.<

Most news and log about teaching soon! (It's only my second day by the way)

Today I took the Ujian Munsyi test... which is basically a personality test for applicants of USM.

First of all, the USM is kind enough to send me to the nearest school... WHICH IS IN WANGSA MAJU. (I stay in PJ, mind you) Second of all, the distance between the Wangsa Maju Putra station and the school is really far. (I checked the freaking road map... according to scale measurement, it is suppose to be only a freakin' ONE kilometre...)

At least walking was fun with the hot weather; whole journey was thinking it was going to rain. From my house to Taman Bahagia Putra station to Wangsa Maju station to the school = 2 hours walk. Luckily got friendly strangers and Cheong Hoong Jun to guide me to school, or else I would never even reach there. Thanks Hoong Jun~!!!! And also thanks for the transport back~!!!! =D

The test was like THREE HUNDRED question and expect you to do it in 1 hour. Actually it was easy to answer. All you need to do is to agree or not to agree the statement given. So I was like one question took me 0.5 seconds. It was until I reached one question:

"Saya setuju saya seorang yang menawan... Setuju atau tidak setuju?"

This question took me 5 seconds to answer. I was like "Is this a trick question?" "Is this to grade my confidence level?" "ISN'T THIS SO LAME???"

And I want to syok sendiri. So I wanted to answer "setuju".

Yet, I saw the question wrongly. (I read, "Saya TIDAK setuju saya seorang...") So i answered "tidak setuju". Great, even syok sendiri also cannot. That's how bad is my confidence level.

New look~!!!

Woo~~!!! Got myself a fiery background!!! Purely photoshop products!!! =D (I start from stratch one, okay??!?)

Man... how i wish no one steals this backdrop, but hey, anyone can just right click the background and save it. I don't know how to put the "no-right-click" warning thingy. Aiks. And that "no-right-click" feature is so darn irritating in other sites!!!

So if anyone just wanna take it, take it la.

Man, I'm so perasan.. like anyone will steal it in the first place... >.<

Yo~

Quite random now...

Do you remember The Corrs?

Oh my god. I just feel nostalgic everytime I hear her songs. By the way, it's so hard to find it now, that even radio stations like Lite and Easy FM never include it in their playlist.

Recently when I looked back in YouTube, I was like "THEY ARE AWESOME~!!!!!!!!!!!!" Every song in their album is sooooo wonderful!!! Who can't forget 'Runaway', or 'Breathless', 'So Young', 'Radio', 'What Can I Do?', or even 'Irresistible'?? It's classics back in the 90's.

Check out this video. You will understand the craze of this band among youths that time!!! Very few bands in the world will ever get this kind of responses from the crowd! (wait until the chorus then you know what I mean =P)

By the way, they are the only band other than U2 who were from Ireland that made it international. The reason they stopped? All got married. T.T I wish I could buy their album... But it is so hard to find!!!! *cry*

And I tried 'Runaway' on piano. I feel sooooo touched playing it (like in a live show). You guys out there should try it! Fairly easy song to play. It's a three count song, and in verses section you play chord [F-G-Bflat-C], pre-chorus [Dm-Bflat-G-C], and chorus [F-G-Bflat-C] (like verse section).

Omg. I wished they would come back. =D
