My Top 3 Christmas Wishlist...

Christmas is coming...HO! HO! HO! Gong xi fa...oops...Merry Christmas everybody!!! Santa Claus is coming to Malaysia with a big dilemma. You see, he can't find a single chimney in any house in Malaysia. Even windows in Malaysia are not the size for him. He is looking for an alternative:
1. Make use of a bulldozer
2. Lockpicking your front door
3. Applying Bernoulli's principle to lift your whole rooftop up into the air
4. Start losing weight to fit through the window

If Santa is coming to my house (which unlikely he will because I have been a bad boy in my entire lifetime), I would gladly receive anything he gives. Kiasu-mah... But there are some favourable things I would like to receive. I have ranked the top 3 things:

*No.3 - Contact Lens

I will like to wear contacts lens to transform myself. I will seriously look like another person without my spectacles. Maybe I will look hot without my spectacles until my camera melts everytime it looks at me. *perasan*

*No.2 - Breakdancing Lessons

At least this wish is realistic. After discovering how to do popping, robotic dancing, gliding (including moonwalking) and freestyling, I wanted to learn more of hip-hop. Breakdancing will complete my collection of dance. Maybe Santa will give me vouchers to breakdancing centres. Or maybe he will show me some moves on the spot.

*No.1 (MY HIGHEST PRIORITY) - A Piano

This is one thing I'm hoping for. I don't care if Santa needs a Helicopter or DHL. Few months ago, my only piano has been given away to a charity centre. I don't even have a chance to say goodbye to my faithful piano (I played this piano for 8 years). By the way, I have no grades whatsoever because I stopped getting piano lessons after passing Grade One. Still, I continued playing and discovered a lot of skills of playing the piano especially improvistion (new age music). So when my piano was given away to charity, I was literally heartbroken. I hope there is a "pengganti" for my piano. I do not mind any type of piano. Upright, grand, clavinet, electric, organ, etc. As long as I can play music again.

Santa, you know what to do...=p

Merry Christmas everybody!!!

The Week That Was

What a week... Time passes so fast, I could not catch up my blog... So here's what happen in a week...

My suit is warm (to be exact, above warm), my tie is killing me, my Mentos is running out, my hair is getting itcher every minute due to hair gel... Monday is our school's prom night, titled "Exodus". Everyone is dressed to kill, and I mean it literally. Roughly 98% of the guest are wearing black coat. It does reminds me of a Mafia gathering. I must admitted that the organizers did a good job, although it was hard to control everyone from leaving their seats to take nostalgic photos with each other. Everyone did not know that doing so while a performance was going on was really disrespectful. I hope not to see this attitude anymore in the future. Change, guys, change! In the end, all well ends well. How I missed Damansara Jaya...

Many things happened during prom night, but I will not reveal any part of it due to my privacy. Sorry. (Clue: I left the ballroom with so many emotions, including sad, angry, dissapointed, frustrated...only a few know why...)

Next day: Penang.

It took us FIVE HOURS to go from KL to Penang. Imagine if my buttocks could talk... We stayed in a scary-looking hotel, where ghost can appear at any time at any place. Worth it since it is RM150 for two rooms per night. Here is a fact: I believe Komtar is getting less popular. Reason: too many new shopping complexes everywhere. Komtar is slowly becoming a dead town, where only few shops that survived opened. The good news is, it is still cheap.

My family and I visited many places. One of them is Penang Museum. It is quite interesting, if it wasn't for too many texts of explaination . I almost slept walking through the museum, with people staring at my weird way of appreciating history. Kek Lok Si is a HUGE one-of-a-kind temple. Recently, they build a big, tall statue of Kuan Yin (when I mean big and tall, I mean it). We were so fascinated by the statue, we did not have time to see the main part of Kek Lok Si temple. Darn. Penang Hill (the uphill tram with the speed of 10kmph) is the best place to see Malaysian attitude overall. The bad side: Everyone rushes, nobody lines up. The good side: people offer seats to each other, especially to the elder ones. So, I could say Malaysians is not such a bad citizen after all. Snake temple is an interesting place, if you are not afraid of snakes. If you really have the snake-o-phobia, this is the last place you should ever visit, because the snakes could be anywhere. It could be on the altar, trees, table, etc. Imagine you are praying and suddenly, you saw a snake coiling up at a joss stick. Surprisingly, it does not attack anyone (no one has ever proved that snakes is aggresive, because it is not worth proving...).

And we went home happy because we finally leave the hotel. (The worst part about this trip: a movie "The Haunted Apartment" just revealed as we checked into the hotel. Whoa. )

This blog is unintentionally boring. I know. Sorry. Here is a message to everyone: it is a good thing to visit other states because you can learn things like history, art, culture (Hokkien, Teochew, Haka, Canton...), and even Malaysian attitude (I learned that Penang people are always on the rush on roads, not that they speed on the road, but they are very impatient. At least not as bad as KL.). Advantage of holiday trips to other states: it does open your mind widely. Disadvantage: shopkeepers intent to cut your throat with every chances they can get.

That's all folks! [Looney Tunes' theme song]

Farewell Party

Waking up, there is only one thing in my mind from the moment I opened my eyes...

MY BIOLOGY PAPER!!!!!!

I shook my head vigorously. Come on, **** it off...

Today is Wern Chia's farewell party (or lepak-a-thon).

She is going to Singapore because she got the ASEAN scholarship. For your information, ASEAN scholarship is one of the hardest scholarship to apply. If one gets that scholarship, he or she is considered lucky. But this is different for Wern Chia. She truly deserves the scholarship. Her intelligence, sportswomanship and hyperactive attitude (almost hyperactive) makes her a wonderwoman (*theme song*). That is why we had a farewell party for her before we sent her off through DHL.

Our schedule is very, very weird. The class met at Chillis in One Utama. We actually made the usher angry THRICE. First, we seated down to wait for other classmate to come at a closed section. The young man politely warned us, and we took heed. Second, after the class have gathered, we asked the usher for 14 seats. FOURTEEN SEATS! The poor guy told us that we have to wait for a while, for they have to arrange the seatings for us. So, we patiently wait while he started to get frustrated over the very challenging request. Third, we made up our mind to go to another restaurant, and told the usher so.

Ouch, that does hurt.

Now, for the search for a restaurant. I could feel that the party slowly turned into a walkathon. Walking from one end of the wing to another end of another wing for Sushi King. Bad news. No place. Again.

And the journey continues.

We finally made up our mind for a Japanese restaurant, Gengki Sushi. This is the first time I entered a Japanese restaurant. Imagine you eat Chap Fan every single day and one fine day, you are entering a high class restaurant. My eyes literally rolled when I saw the prices. Asking for my friends' recommendation, they all said, "UNAGI!!!". Worried, I asked Fu Han for the size of the dish, in case it does not worth the price (RM 10.30). The reply : "Don't worry, it will be big." So, I ordered Unagi Kabayashi.

The dish came, to my disappointment.

The Unagi Kabayashi is the size of my ADSL Ethernet modem. I mean the plate. And Fu Han's reply? "Oops, didn't know."

Regret first comes into my mind. But as I took a bite to my first Japanese dish...

WALAOWEH!!! SI BEH SUI!!!!!!

It's so wonderful. The taste is like...nevermind (too long to describe, literally). So our meal goes on. At the end of the meal, I decided to "belanja" (oh dear, what's the english word for it?) my row of table including Wern Chia. Why is everybody making a fuss about paying me back?

Oh, ya. The total price is RM 98.79. That's why. Well, once in a while I must "belanja" people (WHAT IS THE WORD FOR IT???).

After a very satisfying, electrifying and jak-khun-fying lunch, we headed to the movies to watch "The Host" (a korean movie). It claimed to be the most horrifying monster movie ever. Everybody was so excited about the movie, except for Qing Han who kept thinking of Daniel...(Thank you, thank you)...Craig...(Oops)...and Wen Hao who is scared of the show. Wen Hao, I knew you are a brave scout, but dude, it is just a monster. Not a long-haired, white-pupiled, Green-Day-lead-singer's-eye-lashes, loss-of-hemoglobin lady looking down at you from a tinted window.

[ two hours passed ]

We exited the cinemas, laughing.

The show turned out to be more on the comedy side (purposely, not accidentally) rather than on the scary factor. Although there is some part where the monster literally blinked out of the screen with the sound FX full blast, it was a comedy and the same time, quite political. A must-watched show, and it is the most HOSTIFYING movie ever (the critics must have typed out their voice-out wrongly).

Later, we all play arcade. To describe the situation : pure fun. (What do you expect from someone who has not entered an arcade center for 6 years?)

That's all folks, the day ended with saying goodbye to Wern Chia (but moments later, we continued arcade-ing).

[James Blunt's Goodbye My Lover]

Goodbye Chang Wern Chia,
Goodbye my friend,
You have been a while,
Buy one Unagi for me...

Wish you all the best in Singapore. The class will miss you dearly. No, no, no, we are not going shoot you. We will miss you dearly in our heart, i mean.

Peace out.

The New Beginning

SPM (Sijil Peperiksaan Malaysia) is finally over...WAHAHAHAHA!!

But sadly, everything is going to be different...

No more school friends, no more weird stuff to do in class, no more lame jokes to share, no more teachers to greet, no more wall to climb over during lessons, no more attempts to shut down the whole school's power supply, no more stealing test tube from the chemistry lab...etc, etc, etc...

Life is certainly going to change.

I have just realized that secondary school is the climax of life. Nothing is more fun than trying to open my eyes during lessons. Or daydreaming while the biology teacher is explaining about reproduction. Or playing "Speed" and UNO with my friends in class, and later do some planning to hide the cards. Or playing chinese chess and get trashed by everyone.

Oh well, a past is a past. I am about to enter half manhood, half teenagehood(?). So many things disappear in my mind, but at the same time, so MUCH things appear in my mind as well. What am I going to be in the future? When am I going to have a serious relationship with a woman? What purposes do I have in this earth? What lies ahead before me...

WHAT AM I GOING TO DO DURING THE HOLIDAYS????????

And another question...What am I going to wear for prom?? These questions definitely stressed me out...

*Sigh* What a beginning...

Now, I would like to dedicate this blog to my class. 5 Balau.

I could still remember the first time I stepped into 5 Balau. I was from the sub-science class, but my parents pushes me (FORCES me, actually) to take pure science class, that is, taking biology as the subject. And after much pushing (FORCING), they suceeded. And here, I stood and look around at the new faces (and some familiar ones). And all look at me because of the fact that I am so late...VERY LATE (8.30am...).

And so, new friendships have been formed, but it was so hard to click with them. I could see the borderline between me and the very smart people. But as days goes by, I realized that these "smart" people aren't just smart. They are kind of cool to hang out with. Imagine the smartest girl in class is the school's debator, musician, tennis player, and the list goes on and on. How about a girl that's not only smart, but also very athletic (running, badminton, volleyball, basketball, tennis, etc...)? Or a guy who keeps swimming and swimming and swimming and...still getting high marks for examination? What about a girl who is holy, and yet listens to techno songs, and later play basketball? Or a genius who plays DOTA almost everyday (his computer just got fried due to that game alone)? Or a girl that was named the gossip queen of the class because she wants to hear every information available in class...and still stunned me with great results?

My class is definitely the most colourful class.

Being in 5 Balau changed my life completely. It pushes me to study hard, and play hard (seriously HARD) at the same time. Rarely you will hear things like, 'Why is the education system so ****ed up??'

Mostly, you could hear in the class is, 'Hey, Wang Lee Hom coming to Malaysia...SO CUTE!!!'

Or 'Who says he's good-looking? Jay Chou of course better mah...right hor, Daniel?'

Or 'I liked a scene from Dead Or Alive...the bra scene...'

Or 'Tonight can we DOTA? I want to trash you guys down...'

Or 'Daniel! DON'T BE LAME, LAMER~~!!'

Or even 'YOU SHOULD WATCH BLEACH(an anime series)!!! SO FUNNY!!!'

And even 'YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL...YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL, IT'S TRUE...(singing in a very desperate tone)'

This is so unexpected from one of the best class in Form 5. Even our class got many teachers pissed off because of the noise pollution we caused.

Weird class, don't you think? But all work and no play make Jack a dull boy. In fact, enjoying is the one of the key to the success of your life. Enjoying yourself motivates you to move on to your life.

*Sigh* I do really miss my class a lot. It turned a new leaf in me. Now, I could look at life in a different and positive perspective. For this, I would like to dedicate this blog to all of them. 5 Balau, THANK YOU!!!!!!
