Sh!t sh!t sh!t sh!t

The more I think about MJ, the more I want to be a musician again.

He is my inspiration for music. Did I fail him?

It's all coming back to me now.

I supposed to get over this dream already.

Now it's haunting me again!

What's your path now, Daniel? Reality check or go for your dream?

I sincerely don't know.

This familiar feeling of doubt is deja vu.

When I watched Moulin Rouge again recently, I was like, "Aww..."

The theme of this movie cum musical is...

LOVE!

I liked the songs very much! The compilation of modern songs is just soooo romantic!

Watch these few clips if you don't believe.

Tribute to Michael Joseph Jackson

Devastated is the word to describe my emotions now.

I can still myself remember attending a discussion meet in Damansara Jaya when I was 8 years old. I saw a performance by a YMD dancing to MJ's 'Rock With You'. And that person tried to pull me in to dance with him (which I didn't in the end). At home, I keep asking my parents who is Michael Jackson. From that day onwards, I just wanted to be like MJ.

He is the first artist that I know of.

He is the reason why I love music.

He is my first inspiration to start dance.

He is the reason why I have high self esteem.

He is my first idol in life.

He is my first role model in life.

Now I feel very guilty 'cos I stopped supporting him few years back (must have lost interest in his music; and also trying to catch up with newer trend). This feeling just sucked. You know, 'du-lan'?

Michael, thanks for everything in life!

Because of you, pop music became the main part of the music industry.

Because of you, artistes strives hard to include cool dance routines in performances.

Because of you, the artistes all over the world tries to emulate your presence during performances.

You have left a legacy that will last for a very long time. The title 'King of Pop' ultimately belongs to you forever.

Rest in peace, Michael Joseph Jackson

Michael Joseph Jackson (1958 - 2009)

Oh my goodness. Today my dad woke me up early in the morning to inform me that the King of Pop has passed away due to cardiac arrest. He was 50 years old.

He is the person who inspire me to start dancing. For that, I have a deep sense of gratitude towards him. His bad media reputation will not cloud his greatness. He will always be remembered as the trend setting performer that put a high standard for others to beat.

May you rest in peace Michael.

*eyes sore*

Last night I spent 2 hours reading back my old post. *what for la...*

That is the whole year of 2008. *walaoweh... too much time kah??*

Can't believe I posted lots of weird things in the past!

2008 was really full of randomness, which made that year fun like hell.

I wish this year I can do that again!

And looking back, I now know that I totally sucked in metaphors. *duh~*

See the blue italics words? That's my subconscious mind talking. *screw you.*

Questioning my ego

Now I keep wondering to myself: Did I make the right choice?

Firstly, due to Singapore's efficiency, they offered me Electrical And Electronic Engineering. Without thinking, I was like, "Take it! Go for it!" without thinking about the budget involved. Although already subsidized (which is why I have to work in Singapore for three years after graduate), the expenses is still quite high, that is S$9k++ per year. Living expenses, according to my seniors, S$500 per month (including hostel). So, working it out... S$60,000!!! T.T

Then USM offered me Electronic Engineering (after the error making incident). Due to my arrogance and hunger for good reputation (why would I want to study in an apex university that made such a big blunder???), I rejected it kao kao. The expenses, later I was told, is RM1,400 per year for the course. OMG that's freaking cheap.

Later UKM offered me Microelectronic. I was like, "Wow, heck of a cool name for a course" reaction, but due to my arrogance once again, I rejected it (actually I did not even reply them). Course fees? RM1,455 per year. Walaoweh.

Did I make a better choice? I don't really know.

All I can do is just keep going towards Singapore. Not only I sacrificed my parents' expenses, but also 2010, High School Division, Junior Division, etc.

Did I make a right choice?

Crap.

This is a thank you speech.

Selamat sejahtera saya ucapkan...

*phaik*

Okok.

First of all, let's talk about GFG camp!

Full of fun! And the time we took to make our Gosho section a success! After many changes and criticism, in the end we made a game that could bring out the main points of the Gosho! That's like, whoa, totally! (add dumb blonde tone here) Anyways, it is the combine effort of not just a Honbu, or a region, but the whole KL group that made this whole camp a success! Thank you GFG for letting me be the part of this success!

GFG 2009! Spot me!
(first line in front sitting, somewhere on the left side, white shirt, grinning like a donkey)
Miss you guys! T.T

Alright. Now the ultimate PD trip ala PIC/PTC training camp!

It is a huge success! There's so many things to take care off! Venue, timing, games, T-shirt design... Luckily got a very very very great team to work with! Everyone in the team contribute so much that I felt like I did nothing =P. Lolz! And thanks to Mr. Wong Cheong Tak for handling lots of things and constantly reminding me of many things! Can feel the unity of Region 2 in this camp A LOT! (Imagine being under the sun for like more than 4 hours, and still no one fainted! =P) Many breakthroughs happened in this camp as well! Who knows, few years later Atak will assign someone to organize a camp for whole KL? =P

Thanks for giving me an opportunity to be the part of the organizing team!
*one final hurdle: impression meet!*

Region 2 Group photo after teambuilding! But it is incomplete...

... must include Atak! =D
Wait. Still incomplete...

Ta-da!
Wakakakkakakakak~!!!
Others behind were flabbergasted: "wth is this kns camwhoring by himself..."

Finally, the HAD performance during 6.15 Celebration cum All Leaders Meet!

We were asked to dance to Fei Yang's "Blues Brothers Revue". The first time I hear it, I was like, "Omg! My brother played this song before! This is so cool! Whoa! Walaoweh! Coincidence ar?!?!?! Hope my brother is performing!!! Woo~!!! Yea~!!! Let's begin as soon as possible... Wait a minute... Can dance meh this song?"

And in comes Miss Su Kwan! [cue dramatic theme song] Her Rock n' Roll cheoreography was simple yet fun and energetic! =D

After many many many practices in such short period of time, we did it! The crew is wonderful! Especially thanks to Ong Tze Wei for helping me out and also come early to Kaikan! (or else I will feel very very very lost in steps) And of course Evon Ang! Thank you so much for being a great and patient dance partner! (you are especially good in tahan-ing my noobness; thank you!!!) And my final bow goes to Su Kwan!!! A very patient teacher to the last moment! Fantastic cheoreography!!! Arigatou~!!! *bow* =D

Hail the crew! Su Kwan, Sai Hou, Chin Ting, Chong Yuen, Vong Kwan, Mun Fai, Gin Nin, Tze Wei, Wing Yan, Wai Xiong, Evon!

Woi. Fei Yang leh?

Oh ya! Thank you Fei Yang Symphonic Band! And thanks bro for performing with me eventhough you are busy with the hospital housemanship. =D

The Blues Brothers crew!

*Blues Brothers Revue tune humming in my head already*

Updated checklist.

GFG Camp = VERY SUCCESSFUL~!!!!

PIC/PTC Training Camp = VERY SUCCESSFUL~!!!! (except not satisfied the weird sun tan mark on my arms)

6.15 Performance = VERY SUCCESSFUL~!!!!

But one thing not successful: I have no photos for any of these events! Help!!! >.<

It was really really a wonderful week. No regrets for having a tight schedule. =D

Now I'm back to slacking at home. Feel like want to rest until I go to Singapore. The month of May and June was so packed and busy, that a 6 hour sleep is something I craved for. And I don't want to drive car for a moment; so sick of holding the steering wheel every day! >.<

Daniel Siow, stop blogging and start asking around for pictures!

I love piano! =D

This is me playing Ryuichi Sakamoto's Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence.

Expect a few glitches. I'm still newbie here. And also a bit different from the original music since I'm improvising as well. =P

This song is the theme song for the movie: "Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence". Apparently, it is about the difference between the Japanese and Americans social point of view. Although I never watched it before, the plot itself sounds good (I read the plot from wikipedia here)

Funny thing about this movie is that David Bowie is the main actor and one of the characters is played by Ryuichi Sakamoto (the original composer for this song). Two music artiste in a movie? Whoa.

Anyways, I enjoyed playing this song. Hope you liked it too! =D

Our Malaysian university.

Just received an apex status, and now has made a blunder.

And it's a big blunder too!

4000+ students that initially been given a space in the university now have to face the reality that the university didn't picked them at all. That's really painful, like being smacked in the ass with a piece of fish.

Luckily I'm going to Singapore already. Otherwise, if I have been waiting for that university to offer me a course, maybe I would have been one of the 4000+ students as well.

Another thing is that by the time that university offers me a course, I have already been on the way to Singapore. Really slow in processing the application of the students. No wonder most of the good students been sucked out of Malaysia! Example like *ahem* *ahem* Daniel *ahem* *ahem* =P

Malaysian universities need improvement! Or else the future of education in Malaysia will stay bleak.

My condolences to the unfortunate applicants.
