Life has its' ups and downs, I learnt.

It's like climbing over mountains. One ever wonders when the Transportation Ministry will build a tunnel through it. I mean, when life is going to be any easier. Never, many will say.

Last Saturday was the Anti-Dadah day. The Domino Pizza sales by the Sivic and Charity club was quite fun, with the competitive spirit with our self, that is to sell as many pizza as possible. Actually, the 50% of the sales wasn't really our club's effort, but Pn. Goh's effort to push BOXES of pizzas to teachers. I even thought that pizzas boxes are mysteriously disappearing in some sort of invisible (duh) Bermuda Triangle. Thanks to everyone for making big effort in every possible way to make it a success and fun at the same time!

That afternoon was the Junior Division Fun Day at Kota Damansara's Regional Kaikan. Fun Day is literally fun day for most of the kids; less lectures about Buddhism, MAXIMUM FUN for them!!! My team and I were in the dance group; that is, to teach them to dance until the end of the year. We all had fun during the first briefing session with the kids. Me and Wai Kit (NOT Mok Wai Kit, by the way) got to choreograph a dance by the end of this week (gasp). Hope it will turned out well.

By the way, I heard my dance instructor (correction from last post: he is dance instructor from California Fitness in Mid Valley. Sorry for mistake) is already in the Top 20! He made it through the camp!!! We are so gonna vote for him non stop throughout the Top 20 competition!!!

Sunday morning was the down part.

Had being lectured by my father and mother, they constantly keep telling me to focus on my studies and stop attending activities from all over place (which includes school activities). They thinks that I should be more hardworking in my STPM. He keeps nagging about people outside who couldn't afford anything because of not choosing career properly, talked about his family background, comparing me to others, and the MOST annoying part is insulting the music industry. Keep talking about how poor musicians are, and I should be doing something better than JUST playing piano. That moment I got so FUCKING PISSED, but kept silent. I know they cared for my future, but it's just pisses me off.

I wasn't even thinking of STPM, but they put me there in the first place. And all I do is hope that everything will go well and I will do whatever I can since I'm already in STPM. But insulting my passion is JUST TOO MUCH. I always wanted to be a pianist, and there they were talking bullshits about it. I can't describe how mad and depressed I was.

Luckily my parents aren't the ones bringing me up to Cheras for dance practice. Or else I would have opened the door and jumped out into the highway.

At dance practice: coincidentally is contemporary. I really let go all the way during the practice. After the practice, I was relaxed again, since contemporary is all about expressing myself. Never in my life I could transform my mood so fast (in just three hours). I got into the happy mood again, hoping that "everything will go well and I will do whatever I can since I'm already in STPM". (groan) But what to do. Just face it.

Oh well. That's the end of the week. And the end of the month too.

Lee Mei, do well in Singapore!!! Wish you all the best!!!

Tomorrow is APRIL FOOL. And today I got caught by prefects for my long hair (???). Luckily the hair cut has no charge, and the 'barber' really did a well job with my... er... fringe?

Had a tiring week. More to come in this week still.

On Thursday, all Form Sixth students attended talks from KDU, Help Uni/Coll, and Taylor's. Managed to learn a lot from it, and all talks were really hyped up interesting. The guy from Help University was the best among the whole day, to the point I want to reconsider whether to pursue Physcology in the future (the guy presenting is one of the dean in Faculty of Behavioral Science). Overall, I had a great day.

Friday is the heat's day (that's what Wen Chean called it in the blog; I don't know the English word for "saringan"). I spend the whole day taking care of bags and box, since I wasn't involved in any activities. Sad case for me, but what do you expect from a guy like me??? Whole day spent reading Hannah's essay for IMPAC Dublin essay competition. Quite good, I do believe that her essay will be shortlisted. Later after the heat's day (WHY DO THEY CALL IT HEAT'S DAY??? WAS IT THE WEATHER THEY WERE REFERRING TO???), had a Sivic Meeting. Domino pizza gave away SEVEN gold card to the school, and Pn Gan gave to Pn Goh to give to us Sivic members. Almost all AJK members got it (except me, Evelyn and Ken Kent; we rejected the card since we had one). I was really happy since the AJK's efforts in the club had been repaid for what they did. Thanks to Domino Pizza!!!

Now we can eat 7 pizza with another 7 pizza free. *too much*

Later that afternoon, few of us played badminton. I finally got myself a badminton racket, thanks to Robson, Zhi Wang and Chee Kar. Played like a noob, as usual, but enjoyed myself with overdoing fake acrobatic jumps. Syok sendiri. =p Of course, the fun factor was great. Planning to join the badminton club next week.

Tomorrow will be very hectic. Morning have to deal with the sales of the Pizzas. Afternoon have to attend the JD Fun Day. At night... MUST RELAX AR, since next day got dance practice, and also have to find new steps for the MAC's 'Huo Yan Jia' dance. Head already spinning now. Shall we calculate the centripetal force of my head? Nonono. I believe the moment of inertia of my head is very large at the sides but empty in the middle. Goodness.

Now listening to Leo Ku's "情歌王" (translated as 'love song king'; I know, translation's too direct). Dubbed as "劲歌金曲 no.2", the song is 12 minutes long since it is a mix of different types of love songs. Although the song wasn't as grand as "劲歌金曲" (less instrumental and orchestra as before), the song is VERY NICE! A recommendation to all!!!

Deng. I blabbed too much.

WAAAAA~!!!!!!

HEADACHE BECOMING SEVERE!!!

Out of sudden, the dance for 'Majlis Anugerah Cemerlang' have to perform last year's dance, not a new one. Teacher wanted a Chinese dance, not a hip hop dance. I was stunned when Zhen Yao gave me the news. My head was already cursing my hypothalamus. After a complete plan for the 'Faster, Harder, Stronger vs. Technologic Mix' dance, it just came collapsing down. Now I have to redo all plannings and choreography, in addition to refresh last year's steps. ARGH!!!

Now I have to prepare three NEW (note the word 'new' is causing a major headache to me) dance in a week. I WANT TO REVISE MY PHYSICS AR!!!!!! P*K*M*K K*N*N**B* T*U L*I L*U M*U!!!

Sorry, frustrated at the moment. Blogging's the best medium to release tension.

Sounds like a 'long time no blog' situation again...

On Thursday, went out to have fun with friends. Took us a while to decide what to do, and then decided Uncle Duck. The steamboat was like nostalgia, a feeling gone for a while and finally returned. Later, went to arcade to have more fun. Goodness, I used RM10 of tokens to play many many things. Drums, dancing, shooting and... that's all. Went back early because I told a lie to my mom and she still thinks that I went to Physics tuition. Cunning, eh? When I came back, my brother brought back his 10kg dumbbell from Seremban, since he is not using it. I was over high for a moment. Wait. *Dot dot dot dot dot dot* WOOOOOOOOOOO~!!!!! =P

Saturday morning. Finally attended the practical for driving after many postponing. So bored, but managed to meet up an MBS ex-form 5 sitting next to me. I was like, "What the f*** you doing in Kayu Ara, Damansara???" Funny that their driving centre is in Pudu, but was transported to a lost area.

That night, attended a wedding dinner. Luckily the strangers at my table was really friendly AFTER I started introducing myself and asked some POLITICS question. Down came the complaints and reliefs. Fun to have topics like this at this time around. Later, when the groom's father sang karaoke on stage, my father, who apparently got high on water alone (my whole family do not consume any form of alcohol), ran all the way to the stage (our table was at one end of the restaurant whereas the stage is at the other end) and started jumping around and dancing alone. Goodness, the song the guy is singing is "Jailhouse Rock" by Elvis Presley. The whole time, everyone was cheering while I was having my hand over my forehead for the whole while. Typical dad of mine. Good sign of health, I guess. =p

Sunday morning, went up early to Bunka Kaikan. Had a dance committee meet for Junior Division Fun Day. Volunteered myself to choreograph a dance for children since Wai Kit, the main choreographer is busy with many other dances. Now I have three performances to take care: 'Majlis Anugerah Cemerlang', Combined Boards Day (both events for school), and this event at the end of the year. Now the headache comes with a purpose finally. Later in the afternoon during practice, found out that my PIC, Ah Hong is in the Top 40 in 'So You Think You Can Dance'! 100% of the HAD will be voting for him (if he made it through to Top 20; We are really confident he will since he is instructor in Celebrity Fitness). Ah Hong, make us damnnnn proud!!!!

Now I'm here in front of the computer, idling with the keyboard.

My Way

I would like to introduce you to a song, "My Way" by Frank Sinatra. This song is really, really, TRULY meaningful for those who are proud, arrogant (in a good way), experienced in life, fallen and stood up, faced a lot of challenges and won all of them, etc. It's a song where one looks back at his or her past and cherish it.

I wasn't really a fan of this song UNTIL I attended New Year Countdown 2007 at One Utama. Gary Cao Ge was performing this number and I was STUNNED (with my mouth singing out the song). If you want to know why, go to Youtube.com and find out any video of him singing 'My Way'. (example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UWS0hAw_lgA) Anyway, I got so caught up with the song that I didn't stop hearing it.

Finally, it's time to recommend it to you all.

My Way - Frank Sinatra

Verse 1:
And now the end is near,
And so I face the final curtain,
My friend I said it clear,
I state my case which I'm certain,
I lived a life that's full,
I travelled each and every highway,
And more, much more than this,
I did it my way...

Verse 2:
Regrets, I had a few,
But then again too few to mention,
I did what I had to do,
And saw it thru without exemption,
I planned each chartered course,
Each careful step along the byway,
And more, much more than this,
I did it my way...

Chorus 1:
Yes, there was times, I'm sure you knew,
When I'm bit off more than I can chew,
But thru it all when there was doubt,
I ate it up and spit it out,
I faced it all and I stood tall,
And did it my way...

Verse 3:
I loved, I laughed and cried,
I had my fill, my share of losing,
And now, as tears subside,
I find it all so amusing,
To think that I did all that,
And may I say not in a shy way,
'Oh no, oh no not me,
I did it my way'.

Chorus 2:
For what is the man, what has he got,
If not himself, then he has naught,
To say the things he trully feels,
And not the world of who he kneels,
The record shows; I took the blows,
And did it my way...

Sorry if there is any mistake on the lyrics. The lyrics was from my memory =D.

P/S: If anyone got the mp3 of 'My Way' by Gary Cao Ge, please notify me!!!!

I DID IT MYYYYY WAYYYYYYYYYYY~!!!!

Exams papers returned.

*choke*

Not... good...

by looking at my marks so far, I think I can obtain 3.33 GPA (since I scored between 64-69 % in all three given papers). Not bad, since I never even studied at all. That quite gave me confidence all the sudden. So, as motivated as a young bird about to make its' first flight, I tried revision (Yes, I never revise before, literally), starting with Physics questions from Mr. Huan's tuition.

*stunned*

Motivation level decrease back to square one. Or should I say absolute zero degree?

By the way, I got myself Edifier's M2300 for RM169 (Chee Hoe, don't need to tell me to wait for PC Fair... RM20 extra only... =p). It worth every cents. The bass is POWERFUL. BOOM! BOOM! No more bass where it goes brrrooOOOMMM. Now, my bass is pure solid. BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! But my settings looks weird. Imagine speakers weight 8.5kg, the two satellites on the table and the subwoofer below, with the auxillary line connected to a small mp3 player. Overall, it looks freakishly cute. (Black speakers, black mp3 player; it looks freakishly gothic cute)

Next time will post pictures of it.

Holidays are meant for students to groan over the speed of it.

"WA! Holidays so fast..."

"Huh? I thought today is the first day of school holidays..."

"Shucks... Government cut our holidays... (???)"

"There was a holiday?" (confused)

These phrases are heard everywhere (maybe the last phrase is an exception; special case, I guess). Does holidays exist to be hated? Holidays are like sex. Before it starts, you just really want to start it. During the event, you take full advantage, but then later it gets boring towards the end. After that, you wished you never had it. Many moments later, you want more. And the whole cycle restarts to square one. Irony plays a big role here.

Don't you just hate holidays?

One random joke from my head:

Since we are in the middle of DAP state, can we play rockets during Chinese New Year? Erm... I mean firecrackers, at least??

=P

Sunday, March 09, 2008

Whoa~!

Went to the Curve today to teman my mom and sister. Borders we went. All over the place is just books and books and books...

Until one particular book caught my eyes.

SONGWRITING FOR DUMMIES~!!!

Oh my greedy great gawdy goodness!!

From 7pm until 9pm, I took that book and sat down at one corner, reading. From chapter 1, I'm already glued to the pages: how do songwriters get ideas, what are the tips to grab that particular inspiration, what are the terms commonly used by songwriters, what are the types of verse-chorus pattern, etc. After two hours, my eyes already over-glued to the book, that is my eyes became sore. So, I stopped, and tempted myself to turn the book around to the back cover to see the price tag.

The freaking price is RM75.90.

*Sigh*

Time to fast?

Election 2008

This year's election was an interesting one. Opposition parties have finally made a statement in the history:

BEWARE.

It's like watching Manchester United drew with Arsenal 0-0. There's no clear winner.

No comment on politics now. (Sensitive issue, you know)

Exams over!

Great.

Not really a feeling if you think long term. This test is just a reminder that I *sucked* at specific subjects. Economy, Chemistry, and Pangajian-am-o-logy was nightmare. Imagine me actually learning stuff from the test paper while doing it (It's not a metaphor, it's REAL).

Now that realization struck hard (physically, on the wrong places), I should be spending my holidays studying for the next coming exams, and at the same time prepare myself for STPM, and also get ready for my bright sunshine future...

NOT!!

On Friday night, after coming back from meeting, my brother, sister and me set up the laptop to the TV to watch Stardust. The movie was really pretty frilly nice and funny!!! Goodness, I sound gay now, thank you. Quite romantic for a comedy too! I recommend this movie to all if you want good laughter, puns, and ironic. Half of the show I was laughing my head off (especially any scene with the ghost princes). Go watch it!

Stomp the Yard was great too! Watch it if you want inspiration to dance! (I can't believe I am promoting old movies!)

I WANNA WATCH STEP UP 2~!!!!!!

See? This is how I am going to spend my holidays.

Wednesday, March 05, 2008

Well, at least I could partially translate the hieroglyphs (namely, Physics). Not as bad as I thought.

By the way, economy paper was like depicting messages from crop circles made by aliens.

Tommorow will be the temporary end of sufferings. [more to come in future]

One word.

MATH-ness~!!! (say 'madness')

Monday, March 03, 2008

Examinations...

First term...

Huh?

No feeling whatsoever. Mathematics answer sheets looks like draft papers of promise-planning from election parties. Chemistry answer sheet looks like paper having its' bonds broken in between (product: pieces of paper, mind you). General paper answer sheet looks so... generally sucked. Tomorrow's physic questions will looked like new discovery of hieroglyphs under the tombs of Tut-taka-tut-something-something.

Wait, maybe I can predict the outcome of elections from here...

Aren't exams fun?

See? I'm looking at the bright side of exams.

Screwed Examination Syndrome (SES)

Whoa. First week of exams. Description: Too difficult to tell (no pun intended). Status of individual: dead due to change of hormones too frequently.

I thought of a song in my head. It is a parody of the song "You're Beautiful" by James Blunt.

You're Overdued by Daniel Sharp (lamest parody)

Verse 1:
My life was brilliant, but my heart was sore,
I have to label; myself a bore,
She looked at me that way, she knew I wouldn't give a damn,
I lost all those sleep at nights, 'cos I got no plans...

Chorus 1:
You Stupid Fool,
You Stupid Fool,
You Stupid Fool, so true,
You're first term grades,
looks like rojak instead,
And I don't know what to do,
'Cos I will rather sell madu...

Verse 2:
Yes, the paper's here, but the words aren't clear,
Was it the copier's mistake or my f***ed up eyes,
And I don't think that graphite are eatable,
Unless you want to be more suicidal...

Chorus 2:
You failed that paper,
You failed it all,
You screwed them up, it's true,
Was Physics tough,
Or your application sucks?
And I don't know should I sigh,
'Cos I will rather breathe cyanide...

Bridge:
Lalalala... Lalalala-la... Kita dah sesat...

Chorus 3:
Oh polynomials,
Longitudinal,
Sinusosadial, what's that?
My random thoughts, through my 'USB' port,
Which only have one input,
And reality just struck me hard,
Why this time is just bad luck...

The 'USB' port joke was really bad, especially the 'one input'... Get it?

Nevermind.
